Referrals are a potent tool for attracting new customers and growing your business. However, giving a good referral requires a certain finesse.
There is no better way to get clients and weed out bad experiences than through the trusted opinion of a reliable referral source. Here are some tips on how to provide a good, trustworthy referral.
First, ensure the person you’re referring to has had success with the product, service, or company to which they’re referring.
Look closely at their experience, and make sure they had no issues. If they are familiar with the company or service, they can provide an honest and valid opinion about their overall satisfaction.
Secondly, be sure your referral is accurate and current. If the person was satisfied with the product or service yesterday, would you feel comfortable referring them today? Make sure to stay up-to-date on the company’s performance personally.
