In May 2024, I hit a turning point in my wellness journey. After years of caregiving, stress, and putting my needs last, I realized it was time to focus on reclaiming my health at 59. I was inflamed, exhausted, hormonally out of balance, and surrounded by stress I could no longer ignore.
That moment—at my father’s funeral—marked the end of one chapter and the beginning of a new one: a steady return to strength, clarity, and stability. I had spent the final stretch of his life showing up and caring for him. And while I was deeply grateful for that time, it left me depleted.
