Stop Comparing your Results

Comparing your results and my results have nothing to do with each other. The time I have spent learning about my business and the time you have been in business cannot be compared. It is all starts out the same way, in the beginning, slow and steady.

There are four significant areas of focus to enhance your wellness lifestyle/essential oils business:

  1. Signing up members
  2. Product education and helping members to appreciate and love the lifestyle with your products.
  3. Helping members to join ER: Without a monthly reward box, you miss all the benefits the company gives to members.
  4. Sharing the business opportunity: Don’t judge. It is not up to you how much money someone has in the bank or if they look successful already. Present the chance to build a business and let them decide. People miss out on business partners because they judge the situation and rarely do you know the real situation.
  5. Supporting business builders: When you see someone building their business. Support them. They don’t have to create a company in the same way as you have. The great thing about network marketing is you get to build your business your style.

With technology today we can now see reports in our company dashboards by the click of a few buttons. You can help keep your members updated with the stats you can see. Let them know if they are close to hitting a promo bonus. (100, 190, 250, 300 PV) It’s easier to add something before it processes than to call the company and try to add something after it processes.

Building a network marketing business fast

IPA is an Income Producing Activity: activities that generate income. To grow faster, work the plan  EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. Or at least 5 out of 7 days. It takes at least 90 mins a day to get the simple task done in your business each day even if you have to divide it up through the day to get it done.

Did you know that the average network marketer who made it to the top of the company comp plan who personally enrolled less than 200 people in their career? The beauty of network marketing is getting results from everyone doing a little.

Connection and Relationships

  1. Connect with/or educate prospects
  2. Connect with and educate members on products
  3. Connect with and support leaders/business builders

If you will notice, it takes a lot of ‘connecting’ to build a business. Connections are not always fast. They are slow cooked and simmered to perfection.

Income Producing Activities

Your business is all about CONSISTENCY and INFLUENCE.

Techniques and platforms will come and go, but when you focus on building that audience and communicating with it, you will stand the test of time.

Here are some top tips you can use in your business

  1. Send a newsletter – I use Aweber
  2. Set small, simple goals that you can reach by the end of each month. Set one 90 day goal. Set one 12 month goal. One long-term goal five years from now.
  3. Schedule calls/meetings/coffee/ to present the business opportunity to a group of people or single persons.
  4. You’re why is your focus. Do you want to pay off a house, a car, college, go to a particular place for vacation, work fewer hours at a job, retire early? What can you focus on?
  5. Ask for referrals. When you are talking to someone always remember to ask if they know someone they can connect you too.
  6. Use your products. You can’t sell what you and your family don’t use.
  7. Thank you notes. Send five notes a month. I use to send out cards because I can send them from my phone, from a group of cards or single cards.
  8. Promotion or Giveaways: send private messages to a few who are close to a goal to give them a push with an incentive. Have group incentives from time to time, but the small private ones are always fun to send to someone you single out to help.
  9. Get social – use your social media as a curious spot. Most people who know you already know you are in business. You never want to post images with your company name, or products and logos. Keep it curious so people will have to ask you or send you a private message to get the information.
  10. Educate yourself. The key to stepping outside your box is getting an education from someone who has already been where you want to go. Hang around people who are more significant than you in the business space. It helps you think bigger.
  11. Be grateful. Write it down in a journal. Learning to be thankful even in the early years of your business helps you grow.
  12. Know your personality. Take a personality test. It teaches you how you think and how other characters respond to you.
  13. Follow up! Send thank you cards, text, attend team classes or anyone you have talked to about your products.
  14. Praise your leaders – If you have a group of people who have signed up other people makes sure you give them a high five and some attention from time to time.
  15. Empower your team. Not by your words but by doing what you are encouraging them to do. Let them see you walking the talk.
  16. Connect with crossline business builders and learn from each other.
  17. Get your business set up with a basic foundation to build up from. It was easier to get started from the beginning with the right format than build your business for a while and have to come back to build a foundation later.
  18. Log in your expenses. Don’t doubt that you have business expenses. You will, and you have deductions you can claim. I use Self-employed Quickbooks to keep my records for my CPA at the end of the year.
  19. Missed orders, Missed Money, Missed Rank: Friends don’t let friends miss out on free products, ranking up and money. When you see someone about to miss out on – give them a shout out.
  20. Celebrate your wins. Not just the big wins but the small ones. It all adds up and it all matters. Pat yourself on the back.
  21. Circle back rinse and repeat.
