Should you join a Network Marketing Opportunity?

Most likely you have been to a ‘party’ or a ‘meeting’ or know a friend that is in one of those things. I have been to so many I can’t count them. The profession itself has been around for a very long time and not always been treated like a true profession due to the training people get when they come into a company. Most people are doing what their upline tell them to do and it doesn’t always represent well. This happens profession-wide I am not pointing fingers at any one person

Despite people using social media as a billboard and not building relationships it makes people’s skin crawls when they are approached about joining a company. I was the same way except I kept being drawn back to the profession until I found a company that worked for me and what I believed in. That is when it all changed

I was a single mom who needed an extra $500 a month to be able to breathe a sign of relief after paying the bills. I wanted to splurge once in a while like go to the movie or get a new pair of shoes just because.

The longer I was in the profession the more I learned how the little bit that I was doing was helping other moms like me who needed that little bit of extra income to breath easier. Connecting to people who were open to learning what I was learning and doing the same thing without chasing people down at Wal-Mart with a sign screaming this is the best in life join me!

I wanted to learn more.

Network Marketing Training with Ray Higdon
Network Marketing Training with Ray Higdon

I hired a business coach. Actually, I have had 4 business coaches. With each one I learned something new and when I applied those lessons it impacted other people. I was like – WOW – ok…I can do this. I started blogging, using social media the right way and finding people who were open to a business and not a home party that only meant gathering with some friends.

My business coach Ray Higdon just posted his first article on “The Huffington Post” and he said this:

Here’s Ray’s quick list on the question of this article:

If you:

– Understand that anything worth having takes effort

– Are coachable and have a good attitude

– Aren’t looking for some magical scratch off lottery ticket

AND

– Would like to make some additional money without changing occupations

– Are willing to face some rejection as many of the people you talk to will NOT buy from you or join you (and some may even ridicule you)

– AND you embrace the idea of giving it at least three years.

What a great article!

Network Marketing is a business where you can truly put in some hard work, long hours, and earn time freedom with those efforts. You are paid a little on the efforts of the team you generate and if you don’t show up to work a day or two because you are sick or have another appointment your paycheck doesn’t suffer. You don’t have to explain to a boss why you need a day off and you are your manager of time. Which means you still have to get the work done but not under the same pressure.

Yes, Network Marketing is a real business. It does take time to grow to replace what you are presently doing but it can.
