How to Quit Your Job and Build an Online Business

Everybody wants to quit their job… or they say they do.

In order to quit one job, you have to get good at another one. The average person will not do what it takes to quit their day job.

For some reason, people think that working from home is an easy laid back job that has little effort put into it. When in fact – I have found it to be more of a job that takes a lot of hustle. You are correct in saying you don’t have a boss – which some people need a boss to stay motivated. You are the boss, the motivation and the one who makes money either come in or not show up.

Your results in the bank are the results you are putting out to the world to review for your business.

You need skills

Someone recently asks me “How long will it take before I will start making money?” That told me they were not someone I wanted to work within a business situation. They were looking for a drive through business instead of asking. Where do I start…or Where do I find training.

I would love to tell people to quit your day job and work from home, when in fact, I didn’t quit my day job until I was able to retire from time in service and all my benefits were in place. I made sure that my income was replaced twice what I was making as a nurse before I ventured out on my own.

The first thing I did was started a blog. Then I started using social media with lots of trial and error for results.

I then found someone who had a blog and used social media that ran a business I could learn from. Then I hired a business coach to learn what steps I needed to take would actually make me money and not be busy activity.

It was a slow process that took me four years to earn a 6 figure income but it has been a good journey of growth and skill improvement. The good news…. you don’t have to take four long years to learn what I did.

What to post on social media to grow your business

I would like to help you skip some of the slower steps I took and get results faster than I did.

  • What NOT to post on social media that could potentially be HURTING your sales and sign-ups (hint: there’s a fine line between spamming and creating curiosity)
  • How to create a social media post that virtually guarantees you get people reaching out to you asking, “What is it that you’re doing??”
  • Why Top Earners share their company name all the time, but you SHOULD NOT! (tip: unless you have a big team, you’ll end up turning more people away from you if you post company-specific content)

Join me on this free webinar and learn these simple skills that will set you apart from people who are still learning by trial and error. If you have always dreamed about a business but you haven’t got started. We need to talk. In the meantime grab your seat and log in early. The seats will fill up and the call will max out. You want to listen in.

  1. Such a great share Angela especially knowing what NOT to share and if people actually think about it, 4 years working for yourself to dig out of your job is way better than 20 years in a job you hate with no end in sight.

  2. Wow, you have a great story. I think a lot of people are scared of the unknown and the transition from job to home business can be daunting for many, but it is so worth it.. thanks for sharing..

  3. Thank you Keith, it is a transition and most people like myself aren’t ready for the shift – and I am not sure there is a way to truly prepare. However I am so glad I did.
