Some people know what is blog is or they think they know. Most people look at a blog like a newspaper selling ads. Rarely do people know any more than that about a blog, in the case, of course, they are a blogger making money with a blog.
Some people like ProBlogger.com is a full-time blogger, I am a part-time blogger with a full-time income. I wrote a post “Why you need to be an affiliate online” that talked about more than one stream of income.
In my blog post, I don’t post my income simply because people see numbers and not what I have gone through to make those numbers show up. It is not magic, it is work that takes the time to build. I see some marketers who like to show totals of their checks and they are ok with that. I choose not too.
I actually had a lady a few weeks ago message me on facebook demanding to know my numbers, my leads and how I was doing it. Well… I tell exactly how I am doing it inside a small coaching group I have and I blog about the process two – three times a week.
67% of my income comes from my network marketing company that I have worked with for 5 years. The other 33% is coming from my multiple streams of income until I begin producing my own products. I have 4 different affiliate sources in between, I will promote an affiliate deal where someone else who’s got a product. It might be a course, it might be an ebook, it might be a membership site, it might be some software that’s relevant for my readers and could be what they need versus what I have shared with them.
Business Partners
If you are not building your own products or don’t even want to get started with that adventure you can promote someone else’s hard work and earn a very nice stack of cash pretty quickly if you have built a community of people who need that product. The only products I will promote are ones I have been through or I know the trainer who is providing the information is outstanding. They will also get mentioned on my resource page as well that gets lots of traffic. I have never up to this point promoted a coaching program – but products that are $500 and below.
Amazon is another income that I share often when I do book reviews or have products that will go with a blog post. If it is on my amazon page. I have read the book, I have used the product, or I have it in my office. Nothing goes on that page that has not been purchased by myself at some point.
The products sales that are listed on my blog like the marketing infusion developed after lots of request for marketing help. The only way I could do that and help a group of people without being tied to my calendar was to set up a simple small program with ridiculous value. As well as my own book “The MLM Blueprint Secrets” that is listed on Amazon. There will be more products coming in the near future.
Blog purpose
My agenda is to provide as much value for my community as possible from resources they may not have known about and often they give my audience a discount on the products for me to promote them.
People have asks me to be guest bloggers, add their banners to my blog and up to this point I have turned those down. I wanted to have control of the traffic that ran through my blog and what my readers saw. I never want you to come here and think it looks like a billboard with stuff promoting all over the place.
My overall purpose on my blog is to build my brand, promote good content for my readers and build my company. To make this blog produce an income it takes consistent effort over a period of time. I hire someone to help me build out the promotion pages, I hire someone to help with copywriting on products, I hire someone to read over ebooks.
Expenses
In order to make money it is true you have to spend money. On top of all these, I have expenses that come out of these income streams for software I use and subscriptions on programs that I need in place to have a system that flows.
