Why You Need To Be An Affiliate Online

I am obsessed!!

DysonI know you are thinking – Angela you have lost your mind! Well, maybe…
I am a cleaning nut. I clean the house all the time. I vacuum daily because we have a dog in the house and there are puppy love hairballs on the floor. I am wiping and straightening until it gets on my nerves!

Then I find this little jewel. I am totally obsessed with this cordless Dyson V6 Slim. I could totally be in a commercial for them smiling as I vacuum, minus the heels and the maid’s dress, I can’t go that far.

WHY – am I telling you about my vacuum cleaner?

Why You Need To Be An Affiliate

When I find something I enjoy using – AKA this vacuum. I talk about it. My friends already know that I am a cleaning freak so when I get excited about something to clean with they know it is for real. They trust my opinion.

When you go to a great movie you talk about it over the water cooler at work, on social media over dinner with a friend. They take your word and will go see the movie and then you follow up with them to see what they thought about it. There is one thing missing. You didn’t get a referral fee from the movie theater and I am sure they spent $50 plus dollars because they had popcorn and a drink too (the most expensive popcorn in  town but dang it is good).

As a network marketer you have heard “Don’t put all your eggs in one basket” but what does that mean? It means to become an affiliate of programs and products that you use.

When you join a network marketing company you are simply an affiliate. You don’t own the product, the company staff, the labor it cost to make the products or ship them out. You tell people about the products and why you like them – they either like your opinion or they don’t. If they choose to order as a customer or join as a business affiliate then the company thanks you by paying you a commission. Another benefit shows up in tax deductions for your year-end tax filing because the IRS sees it as a business benefit. (Hello the IRS even says so)

There are other ways to become an affiliate to products you use and trust enough that you would give them links to a page to a friend. Like I have listed on the resource page.

It is much wiser to have more than one product that blends together as an affiliate marketer that generates income arriving from more than one direction and in more than one nest. You don’t have to know how to build products to be an affiliate. If someone else does all the hard work, packaging and marketing. You share their links, when someone buys with your link YOU get paid. Yep – it is that easy. I talk about affiliate marketing in the Marketing Infusion and how you can blend it with your present business.

If I can find people who are open and get them excited enough to refer others or themselves take a look at what I have to offer, then I can share with them my product or my service and how they can get a discount on that product or service and even earn some income. It helps them and it helps me – it generates a community of people who are looking for the same things.

What kind of friend are you?

Some people get all bent out of shape telling their friends about a product they use or maybe in conversation a friend mentions a problem they have and you have the solution to the problem. You will tell them about an awesome vacuum cleaner but you won’t tell them about a product that can fix a problem they currently have is odd.

Don’t you think you friend would appreciate the solution to a problem versus a new vacuum?

Network marketing is not perfect, but it is better (per Eric Worre). It has its issues like anything does. What I do know is it has equal opportunity for people who will learn the trade ( Marketing Infusion ) and stay consistent to get the results that so many talk about. There is more than one way to generate an income and depending on just a company, is not it.

When you are sick and tired… and I mean SICK and tired of struggling and you are ready to learn how to make this vehicle run, connect with me and let’s get you started. The longer you wait the longer it will take to get results. HOWEVER, if you are a doubter, whiner, and want to quit in 90 days – stay at your job this is not for you.

  1. Hey Angela,

I love your enthusiasm. I think it’s great sharing information about products you love with other friends. I know I do it all the time. How would you include your affiliate links on your web site? Just mention it in a blog post, or have some actual picture and product link?

    Thanks,
    Lisa
