How long will it take?

How long does it take to reach success?

Well, that depends.

Everyone has their idea of success. Success could mean you can stop working overtime at your job, or if you are working two jobs, be able to quit one of those.

Not everyone wants to make 10K a month or to do what it takes to get there.

Mastermind Events

This past weekend I was invited to a mastermind in Lexington Kentucky that was probably the best one-day event I have been too. I have been to a lot of events, personal growth events, business training, conventions, home meetings, hotel meetings, large network marketing events.

Some of them I would walk away with nothing in my notes to implement, or the event became a pitch fest from the stage for the next event, promoting the newest products, coaching programs or books. Then you can watch the paid plants in the audience get up and start running to the back of the room to make people rush before “it sold out”.

Oh, my word I am so done with the pitch puke. It is mentally exhausting and so many times you have buyers remorse. Most people never use what they purchase at events. The average person needs to learn the basics of business functions and stay consistent.

This mastermind was different, and I took 14 pages of notes in one day. I had my laptop open and made changes in my marketing on the spot in the room as I was learning the content. Most of the changes I made were subtle tweaks to make things sounds and work better. That is how your business grows – simple tweaks.

Simple Tweaks

Austin Zulauf put together a great dream achievers event. His method is simple steps. That is how he built his business until he was able to hire a team. I met Austin in my mastermind with Ray Higdon.

What I enjoyed about his event was the small intimate group of fewer than 20 attendants.  He brought gold to the stage and not once sold anything the whole day. The other speakers Garrett McGrath and Jessie Lee #bosslee and Muzafer Najfi were amazing.

I walked away with new fresh ideas and 14 pages of notes not counting what I put in action sitting at my seat. Generally, if it is at all possible when I attend events, I like to sit in the back of the room, close to the wall and an electrical plug so I can work as I get AHA-HA moments.

Jessie Lee brought lots of inside goodies about her social media methods that work immediately. I can guarantee some of those tips were not public before the weekend. Her green light challenge is an actual conversation starter along with list building on Facebook with her team to get to know them better.

I am sharing those sweet tips with my business team so they can use simple tweaks to grow their online connections. Relationships in network marketing are what will always build the business.

The tips she shared is why she is making 300K a month (yes a month).

Muzafer Najfi taught about closing the sale. I have heard the closing method many times before, but the way he explained it and the methods he used to demonstrate was the best. He has a personality that makes you want to lean into what he says.

No one in a business-like prospecting but when you learn to talk to people like humans and ask the right questions, it is super simple. Asking questions and listening is a powerful tools in any business.

There is nothing worse than being drawn to an event all excited to get to hear someone speak in person and they ramble all about their success but leave out ANY nugget or breadcrumb of how you could use something they did to find a little progress.

I attended one of the most significant network marketing events in the industry and left so disappointed. Each day I left a little earlier, and my husband and I went sightseeing.

Everybody is in business to make money we all know that. There comes the point that you can’t even say hello to someone without immediately noticing you being are F.O.R.M.’ed. (insert eye roll here)

Learn, Implement, and Team. This is a powerful concept for attending events. Ray Higdon makes this statement all the time in his training. Most people go to events to learn, they take great notes and then throw the notes in a draw when they get home. I normally take my notes in google docs so I can highlight or mark them off as I get them done. The keyword is done meaning I implemented them all. Notes that are tossed in a drawer are the same as unsigned checks and nobody wants to toss a check with their name on it in the trash.

How long will it take? That is up to you and how you apply what you learn. If you don’t get set up in a system or you try to fly by the seat of your pants. It may take you longer.
