Are you chasing the next big thing?
It is interesting to watch the mistakes that people make in network marketing. It is not only frustrating to the ones making them but to the ones watching them as their mentors. Trying to run more than one business, no matter how good you are as a network marketer, trying to operate two or more network marketing businesses is nearly impossible.
For a start, when you have leads coming into your funnel, which company do you direct them to?
What happens if they join one of your opportunities and find out you’re involved with several others?
What about your reputation after teaching your prospects one way and one company’s benefits yet you’re out there promoting other companies.
People will begin to stop responding to your social media post and blog post because they are confused at what it is you’re actually doing, and two you begin to look slimy like a salesman they can’t trust because your focus is not on company A or B.
Your focus and your time spend can only be in one direction. Trying to divide your marketing between two companies is almost not possible to do successfully.
Creating online real estate in the form of websites, blogs and Web 2.0 collateral needs to be your top priority. This is where people get to know you and no matter where they look you are saying the same things.
Drive your focus toward learning new skills to work your network marketing business the right way. Learn how to post on social media the 80/20 rule.
Another mistake I see is people make up crazy business names that no one will ever find because the market is so large. Use your first and last name for your URL’s on your blog, emails, social media like twitter and facebook. If I met you at a large event and we had lunch and I knew your name was John Doe I could google you or look you up on facebook and come closer to finding you than I could a business name that I would forget.
Your brand on social media should not be about your company – it should be infused with you and your life with only 20% of business. If you post 80% business you will notice a lot of unsubscribes and less connection from your fans.
Another tip is most MLM companies have policies that state you can’t promote more than one company with the same type products. It’s bad business.
What I have observed is this…. someone who is trying to promote Mary Kay, Pampered Chef, Avon and fake eyelashes and then start posting about essential oils becomes such a brand confusion that there will be little to no sales.
Do your research and find a company you can get behind and learn about. Teach what you learn – and continue your own personal growth in network marketing. The goal in your business is when they hear your name your story echos in their head.
Like this: Angela Brooks is a retired nurse who is a leader in essential oils and business teaching.
No other parties will be mentioned –
No other products will be taught –
I talk more about me and social media business training than I do the essential oils. The main attraction in my business will always be me as the main focus, as you should be doing. You never lead with the product first, people like know and trust you and then want to know what you have to offer.
If your company closed today and YOU are well branded, and you can begin again without having to redo your whole marketing plan
