The Money Game began. In the picture below, my son was 5, and we drove from Kentucky to Oklahoma for a company convention. This was from my very first network marketing company event. I was making at most $100 a month in the company then. I was VERY “green,” as they say. I felt so out of place, but they said I needed to attend to these things to grow. So I did.

I was all in, talking to people (at my job who thought I was nuts), and very quickly felt stuck. I had enormous ambitions and dreamed of climbing the ladder in the company, but I could tell that would only happen with some skills.
Then I realized: Nobody was ever coming to me. I need to go to them.
That realization changed everything.
Why was I waiting to be discovered when I could prove myself now? I started studying and looking for people to learn from.
I have done it all. I put a massive sign on the back of my car (because they told me to), handed out fliers, put cards on tables, dropped them on the floor, handed out free products, spoke at meeting after meeting, and spoke to the chamber of commerce.
Then the internet and Facebook opened up, which changed how I connected to people. I was still spammy as Tammy. Cold messaging, spam posts. The works – but it worked back then because it was all new.
I started my blog AngelaBrook.com. I wrote terrible articles and posted them everywhere. Until I got better. Trust me, that took several years to shift.
Five network marketing companies later, I found one that was getting results. I grew it to a 15K customer base, six figures a year, and started speaking on network marketing stages, on the road traveling every 90 days.
Then 2020 happened the world, and everything got quiet. I quickly learned I did not miss all the non-stop traveling and having conversations with people who only wanted something from me, not real connections.
Along the way, I made a lot of mistakes and took a lot of risks. I invested in myself BIG. I worked with many of the top coaches in the industry. I still do it today. And that’s where this newsletter comes from.
I want you to learn alongside me.
This newsletter is my outlet to share what I do in my business and how it works each week; I’ll give you one way to improve your work and build the career or company you love.
You don’t have to join my company to learn from me. (I would undoubtedly welcome you aboard).
But this isn’t just a newsletter full of tips. It’s a newsletter full of experiences because…
I have access to the most incredible thinkers and entrepreneurs and will share their lessons.
I’ll pull from my own life — testing ideas and sharing the things that work.
I’ll help you feel more optimistic and ambitious — trust me; I’m like a non-stop optimism machine.
People often tell me this is the only newsletter they regularly open and read. I hope it becomes as meaningful to you too.
