Find Your Flock: Hunt Down Your Audience’s Nest

Bird

Find Your Flock – Who are you marketing too? Who is your audience? Do you know where they hang out, where they nest? You have to find your flock in order to present to them what you have. If you are not hanging out in the right nest, you are talking to birds with no ears.

Marketing your business is the hardest part of all of the skills you have to learn. Your network marketing company has already provided the products, the customer service center, the legal documents, and meeting supply on demand.

Your job….

To Market and promote

Hunt Down Your Audience’s Nest. Find your own brand that attracts the right flock of people or it is like talking to coffee drinker about energy drinks. They won’t care what you have to offer if it is not something that is already on their mind.

Understanding your audience is also key for building strong referral links from relevant websites. Reaching the right people within the target area. Narrowing your target market to a small group of people will get more results that trying to reach more people with less interest.

Your marketing should be solving problems

Most people spend more time talking about the company and the amazing products but they never share what they solve. Your initial contact with a new lead should be the connection and not a sale. In my opinion, that is where so many home business marketers make the mistake is they jump too soon for the sale.Join the NewsletterJoin the NewsletterJoin the Newsletter

Free Marketing

Most supermarkets, public spaces, and malls offer free bulletin board space for announcements and advertisements. This is a hit or miss method to an audience that is not necessarily for people you would want to work with or be a product provider too. It never hurts to try but don’t be disappointed when you don’t get calls if all you have on the fliers is a phone number. You should also have a URL set up for just that campaign to send them to a website for more information and being able to track the results as well as adding them to an email list for more follow up. Very few people will call but most of them will go to a website if it got their attention.

Referral Marketing

This method never gets old! When someone’s friend refers them to you and your business [word of mouth], the sale is almost closed before the conversation starts. The referral came from someone they trust who trust you. In all your marketing always ask for referrals or in the day of internet ask them to share the content. I refer people to other products and learning tools that I know have the information a person is looking for if I can not provide it.Join the Newsletter

Follow-Up

The follow-up is missed more than 90% of the time in business. Sending an email to a client who opted into your online marketing is a no-brainer. Ask how they liked what they read, if it is something they are open too or do they know someone that could use the service if it is not for them.

Just because you did not make the sale with that person, they may know someone who it fits perfectly. The conversation with the referred person is simple as “Hey, So and So referred you to me, he/she thought you would be interested in this opportunity/products. There is already a connection with the other person and they will either look at it or say no. You will not know until you ask.

The Bottom Line

You have to test, test, and repeat. Conversion in average marketing is low. There’s no overnight success. It happens over time. Even the best campaigns are 10-20% conversion. Your goal is to get your presentation in front of as many eyeballs as possible. The more eyeballs the less no’s you will hear because you will be working with the yes.

It is nearly impossible to not have a website/blog in 2016 with at least a few details about you. A connected page, about me page and a little history of what you do. When people find you or connect with your content in whatever form you have passed it out, most people, like me.

Before they make a buying decision head over to google to look you up. They will look on Facebook, Twitter, and a website or how they can connect with you.
