Does it happen to you? Back when I was a nurse ( still am) going to work was becoming a dull routine. I often drove to work and didn’t remember half the drive. I had the same routine no matter what unit I worked on. I cleaned my area, organized the medication list, got reports, did rounds to count patients. I was so bored. Same with business. You get into a routine and it gets boring. This past week a dear friend and my family hung out in the mountains in a gorgeous 5000 sq ft house and a chef came in the evening to cook our dinner. Seriously a dream vacation for us! We had no schedule, no routine, no plans. It was perfect. If you would like to see pictures and we are friends on Facebook. <Album> It took me a day and a half to rest – from resting. LOL My wish for you is you have a getaway for you to recharge as we did. It was a dream come true having someone come in to cook – a fantastic view and great people. I came home to some questions in my inbox and wanted to share those with you in case it could be something that is holding you back from your dream life. Everyone deserves to have one. If you are the one who asks these questions – thank you for asking. I hope this helps. Q: I am new to network marketing any tips on getting started? A: Use your authentic voice from day one. You are enough. Be excited about what you have to sell. Excitement is what attracts people. You can also Join DSGC to get out of your own head. Q: How do I encourage my team members to grow their business? A: Lead from the front. If you aren’t doing anything they can see and watch you do. They will do the same –> Lead from the front. Q: How do you follow up with someone who saw your message and ignored it? A: Hey <name> if you are like me you probably checked your messages while you were in the middle of doing 50 other things. I wanted to circle back to see if you were busy or just ignoring me on purpose both are fine, just wanted to check. 😜 Q: How do I revive business partners who have lost their drive? A: If they’ve lost their drive that’s okay, maybe they will come back maybe they won’t. I am not going to drag or beg people to work their business. That is exhausting. Q: How do I keep from burning out and feeling stuck? A: I highly suggest unplugging, step away. Set hours that you do not work your business or social media at all so you can rest and recharge. Q: Do you suggest posting about every sale the company has? A: I never suggest sending annoying messages for sales. If you have a list of people you have talked to about your products (I hope you do I use Evernote) but they have not pulled the trigger to become a customer. I will send a message that says something like: “Hey <name> My company is having a quick flash sale XYZ day. Do you have any interest? Whatever the answer is – it is ok. You planted a seed or got a new customer. Yes, it is that simple. Q: I don’t think my family is going to like me starting a business. Do I need to make a separate Facebook page without family? A: NO! You can love and respect your family without asking them permission to start a business. You don’t ask them permission to be broke. Do not make the 2nd page. This is a lifestyle business. Whatever you do you are modeling to your audience that they can do the same thing. A “business” page gets all weird and commercial-like. Use your personal page. Q: What do I say when someone says no to the business? A: Oh I totally get it, the business is not for everyone but the products are. What oils are you currently using? It starts a new conversation. Don’t overcomplicate it. There are no fancy magic words. Just good questions. When someone says no – it doesn’t mean forever. They could be busy, they may be sitting at the stoplight or in line at the store when they opened your message. Circle back and follow up! If the answer turns into a solid no stay in touch and comments on their post from time to time (no business), the decision can change down the road. – keep talking to more people. It’s that simple. I will be talking to my team in the ‘office hour’ this month about the Green Circle. It is the best way to connect with people on social media without being weird.
