The Biggest Mistake That Network Marketers Are Making?

The power of the internet is insane when you stop and think about it. The potential of holding a small box in my hand and being able to send a video to England through an invisible wave of energy source. To be able to use the same little box to look up and address, a business location, look at a map and see the top of your own home in a few clicks.

You have potential to talk to anyone around the world without paying $100 for a 5-minute phone conversation. (That was a real thing back in 1982 when I lived in Italy.)

The Biggest Mistake That Network Marketers Are Making

They aren’t using the tool to the highest potential. When someone who is looking to build their business and they say “I don’t have any leads” or “I don’t have anyone to talk too”. That tells me they are not using the power of social media and the internet.

The communication skills you need to use on social media can be used on any of the social platforms. It is as simple as starting a conversation to get to know someone and if they have a need that your service or products can help.

No one logs into a social platform to buy something. They are scrolling to see what other people are doing, looking at pictures and watching videos. If they see a page that looks like all they are doing is selling. They keep scrolling.

In order to get someone’s attention, you have to stop the scroll. Stop and think about how you watch TV. When you are watching a show you are tuned in and listening to the show. As soon as a commercial comes on you run to the bathroom, go to the kitchen to get a drink or like my family, we mute the TV until the show comes back on.

People are doing the same thing on your social channels they are muting you by scrolling if you are not keeping their attention

Generating Leads vs. Pitching and Selling

Before you can ever get a sale or a sign-up, you NEED to generate the lead FIRST. You need to get people’s contact information, get them on the phone, and THEN the sales and sign-ups happen. If you begin pitching someone as soon as they meet you they will naturally back up or tell you they are not interested even if they would have been had you approached them another way. Then the people who are trying to build a business gets discouraged because no one will talk to them about their products and services.

What’s the solution? I would highly suggest getting some basic training to learn how to talk to leads to make more sales and add money to your bank account. There are some simple skills you need to learn and it does take time. You can either take the time to learn the skills on sponsoring and recruiting that you need or keep struggling and burn out before you make a dime.
