Creating online content has been THE biggest factor in how I built my business. That and social media but those kind of go together.
Why do I think it is Best Marketing Method?
Your blog is like your home. Your stuff is there, you have all your papers, your ideas, your business links. It is your hub to everything you do. People are scared to death of a blog. When I start someone new in the online business and they ask me “What do I need to do?” I will tell them start a blog. The fear in their voice is immediate “I don’t know how!”
Guess what I didn’t either in 2010 – I seriously struggled for hours to log in to a blog much less get a post up. It was horrible and the writing was even worse. I didn’t know what to write about – the blog was ugly – the message was all over the place.
I didn’t stop. I took the time to learn and watch people who were doing well. My business coach helped me get things turned around and looking better and I found my topic – or my niche.
The next big question people have is “I don’t know what to write about.” Today I was watching one of Ray Higdon’s videos and he talked about content and where he gets his. Watch his video for some seriously professional advice since Ray has made 7 figures with his blog.
You may be a professional content creator who never gets writers blog – ever. But if you do, write a review about the book you’re reading, redo your notes from an event you attended and turn them into a blog post quoting the people who you took notes from. Teach me something on your blog that will make me want to come back and read it again and again and the best part – share it on social media for you!

I see so many people writing long PDF files and posting them in private groups where only that small portion of people will be able to get the information. If you would put that same content on your blog it would out go out to a bigger reach than 200-300 people in a closed group.
Your blog is a BIG part of your online business. In business you have to use systems. Once you have written a blog post you can use it as a reference for months or years down the road by referring people to the link for them to read the content.
