Creating curiosity in your conversation on social media is the best way to not sound like a slimy salesman. I see so many people giving the whole business away in the first post. People read it… they aren’t interested … and keep on scrolling. You will never know if they are even relatively interested because you spoke to0 soon.
Speaking to an empty classroom
Using the ILT method [Invest – Learn – Teach] is the most effective way to create the conversation without giving the whole business away at the hand shake. Most people don’t mind the L and the T but they rarely want to invest in their business to learn how to do things the right way so they don’t. Trust me – until you learn a few skills you will struggle. Denying the need to invest in your education for your business is quite crazy.
Doesn’t it seem that some of your friends have LOTS of success on Facebook? They get LOTS of likes, comments and shares on all of their posts and they get people to participate in whatever they’re doing? Yet when you post something, all you get is CRICKETS?? … I used to be the SAME WAY!!
I remember post after post that went un-liked, un-shared and without comments when I started out. Fortunately, I found out there were some SMALL THINGS I was doing that made my friends and potential clients RUN AWAY from my page! And correcting these small things helped to start building this page to over 11,000 on Facebook and 20,000 on Twitter.
Just because you have a facebook page, and use it in your personal life doesn’t mean you know how to use it for business. You can get 3 days of online business tips straight to your email box [Click this link].

Social Media is your Classroom – MLM Tip
When your company tells you to use company branded images in your post and on your social media you lose curiosity. People will see the name of the company in the post or your comments and they immediately see “sales person” and they keep scrolling.
Or to go deeper into the why you don’t need to do this is because they will see your success post, your images and get curious but they will go google the company or information for themselves. If you have a relationship with them they won’t ask you, even if you do they may not ask you. Then they sign up with some random person and you miss out on the connection.
Another thing people find when they search on google for a company is the negative written about a company and that is what will catch their eye. Another search will find that one person who is blogging and teaching instead of using old sales tips and that person will join them instead of you.
Using the company post and company images also lumps you in with everyone else who don’t know how to use social media and it will turn people off. How do I know? I started out doing it that way and then learned better. Add this book to your library to educate you about doing things the right way.
