Repurposing your content is one of the easiest ways to get more value out of what you’ve already created. If you’ve shared something your audience loved, don’t let it fade away. Reuse it in smart ways and turn one good idea into many.
I’ve been doing this for over a decade. It works—and it saves hours each week. Let me walk you through how I do it and how you can do the same.
1. Use Facebook Insights to Find Popular Posts
On your Facebook Page (not your personal profile), go to the Insights section. There, you’ll see which posts got the most likes, comments, and shares. Click on a top post, and reuse it:
- Turn it into a quote graphic
- Make a short video about it
- Reword and post it again
Your content doesn’t expire. Most people didn’t see it the first time anyway—give it another chance to shine.
2. Check X (formerly Twitter) Analytics
If you’re using X (Twitter), go to your analytics dashboard. You’ll find a monthly breakdown of your most engaged tweets. Copy your best ones into a spreadsheet. I do this every month.
Here’s what I do next:
- Add new blog titles and links to that same sheet
- Upload the list to your favorite posting tool
- Keep that content rotating so your best tweets never stop working
It’s simple and effective. I’ve used this strategy for years to drive traffic back to my blog and connect with new followers.
3. Get the Most Out of Instagram Posts
Instagram doesn’t have deep analytics unless you’re using a Creator or Business account, but you can still tell what people like. Look for posts with high likes or comments. That’s your gold.
Repost or remix those posts by:
- Adding a fresh caption
- Turning a quote into a story
- Sharing a behind-the-scenes follow-up
Real talk: If your feed is only quotes and graphics, people might scroll right past. I like to see real faces, life updates, and what makes you YOU. People follow people, not just posts.
4. Repurpose Blog Posts for More Visibility
Blog posts can get lost over time. Inside WordPress, you can track which posts are getting traffic, comments, and shares. Take those and give them new life:
- Add links to them in newer blog posts
- Break them into shorter emails or reels
- Share them again on Facebook, X, and LinkedIn
You can even do a blog review post each year (like “Top 5 Posts from 2025”) with screenshots and insights. Then share it everywhere—this becomes fresh content with built-in proof that your work gets results.
5. My 4-Part Repurposing System
Here’s how I’ve taught this method to clients for years:
- Write 1 blog post (or a LinkedIn article)
- Turn it into 2 emails for your audience (Monday and Thursday for me)
- Break it down and schedule your social posts with this system
- Share it as Facebook and Instagram stories

Connect—Don’t Just Post and Ghost
One big mistake I see often is “post and ghost.” That means you post content and disappear. But connection happens in the comments, replies, and messages.
Here’s how to stay engaged:
- Like comments on other people’s posts. When you join their conversations, you’re seen by their audience—even people you’re not connected to yet.
- Respond to all DMs. If someone takes the time to message you, respond—sooner rather than later.
- Ask questions. Start deeper conversations instead of always broadcasting.
- Be present in a conversation. Not everything has to be about what you sell or offer.
People want to feel seen. When they do, they’ll remember you and come back for more.

Repurposing adds value to every hour you’ve already worked. It multiplies your effort—and your results.

Great advice Angela. A long time ago I used to write a blog post, put it on my Facebook page and leave it there. Then I wondered why I got no visitors or engagement.
Sharing it around and getting as many eye balls on it as much as possible is the key. Thankfully I learned a better way.
I got a few ideas from your post today as well and you reminded me about Twitter and reposting.
the work is never done with one task. Hope it gave an idea you can use often
