Talking with people I have learned there are Four Common Obstacles to Marketing that most people needs to stop. People want to change, or they say they do. They are looking for a business to make money, or they say they do.
Except I have found they have these things in common.
1 – People want to learn everything up front before they get started. Actually it is the other way around. You get started and then you learn how to make it work. That is totally opposite of how we are taught most of our life. We want an instruction manual to give us all the answers we will ever need before we make the first step.
2 – Then there is the blame game, that you would think was left behind in grade school. However, it is alive and well in most adults. Once someone does get started in the business then they are blaming everyone around them why their business is not working well. I have spent $50,000 on my own personal learning curve. Not all of that turned out quite like I had in mind but with each coach, with each lesson, I learned something I could use and I put it in place. I didn’t want my upline to hold my hand I dug down and went to work on my own. It is no ones business but my own. My upline, sidelines and team mates are my support but my business is not their responsibility to grow.
3 – Stop comparing yourself to others who have been in the business longer than you, who have more skills than you or who are working harder than you. Work on your own game plan and make it your brand. You have skills no one else has and to compare you to someone else is not fair to them but it is also not fair to yourself.
Give yourself credit with how much you do know. When I started writing the MLM Blueprint: Secrets to build your network marketing empire I stared at blank pages for 2-3 days before the flow of writing began. I went almost a week without being able to write the first word and then it would begin to flow again. I am not like some writers who can sit down and write in the blink of an eye. I will research topics and listen to my readers what they are needing to know so I can add value for them. I also follow those that have gone down the road before me that have reached success and I study what they do and how they do it.
4 – The words ‘I can’t’ are part of their vocabulary. As my two boys were growing up they were not allowed to use those words. That sends a message to your brain to act on. It shuts down the flow of possibility. Yes there will be things you have to learn, you will need to learn how to blog and use social media. It is part of business in 2015. You can still call people on the phone if you would like but there are other methods to find business leads to talk too. Can’t means you’re not willing to learn. Be willing to learn and push through the struggles and you will be unstoppable!

Four strong points Angela – and most of us probably fall into one or more of them now and then. As long as we recognize and commence with a reject and re-do it now attitude and behavior then we’re okay.
Thank you Virginia I agree – failure is not what we do when we learn, it helps us get better and start over
