When I was growing up my mom worked at the News-Democrat Logan Leader. It was the local newspaper that everyone purchased for all the updates.
They sold advertisement spots in the “classified” section, pictures of the local happenings in town and of course the town drama on the front page of who said what to who.
It is still in existence today but much smaller and a lot less content.
There was a “darkroom” for photography downstairs for the pictures and upstairs for the metal sheets that would go to the pressroom to roll out the news on huge rolls of paper.
My whole family worked there at one time or another for part-time work.
Back in the early ’70s the cameras were huge and expensive. Not everyone had one that they called “photographers” cameras.
Normal households You’d get a roll with 24 or 36 pictures (which means you’re not gonna photograph the same thing 5 times)
Make sure you don’t expose the film.
Drop off the roll at a store with a photo lab.
And then wait a few days to get them printed.
Using your mobile device for pictures
Taking pictures was a process and it was not cheap to get a lot of rolls done at once. Family photos weren’t as easy to get as they are today.
Today we have a camera in our hand every single day. We are snapping pictures of fun things along our days and recording mini videos that are posting on snap chat, Instagram and Facebook without giving it a second thought.
We have embraced technology into almost every fiber of our life. We don’t have to use a dark room to develop pictures or wait for them at our local store to return.
We have it in our hands.
What is shocking to me is in-network marketing people don’t know how to use their phone for their business.
You have the ability to access anyone in the world with a click of a mouse… and leverage the technology to do MOST of the heavy lifting for you.
The number one key is doing things consistently – which most people don’t do. They will work on their business for short periods of time and give up saying it doesn’t work when they have not given it time to grow.
Business is not easy…
It takes time like the farmer does when he plants his crops.
Business is not easy but what do we do
While there are dozens of recruiting techniques and strategies being taught, there are really only TWO ways you can sponsor new people and grow your team.
One…
Actively approach people yourself.
Two…
Have them reach out to you.
The first basically means prospecting.
Which takes a lot of time, manual labor, and requires you to have thick skin… ’cause you’ll face quite a bit of rejection.
I know, It’s hard to believe, but for some reason, most folks aren’t fond to the idea of making more money and changing their lives.
When push comes to shove, they don’t really want to get their butt off the couch and do anything different. They only want to complain about what they don’t have.
When people start reaching out to you from your content posting you don’t need thick skin or suffer from lots of No’s – they are asking you about your offer and you just have to tell them what it is.
People go into way too many details – most people want to know how it will help them. They want the benefits not the growth process from the farm it was planted on.
But if you’re sick and tired of using OLD prospecting and recruiting methods. It is time to learn new skills that you can do from the palm of your hand.
Here is how to build your business with ease today.
Attraction Marketing instead
By using attraction marketing instead of hardcore prospecting.
By having a system, that leverages basic principles of marketing and advertising, and finds qualified prospects for you to cherry-pick from.
And by qualified, I’m talkin’ about individuals who have both shown a high level of interest in pursuing a business opportunity… and are much more likely to join your team.
Now, isn’t that a much better way to build your business? Join me here
