I have a discussion with someone about blogging and converting traffic about 3 times a week, minimum. People have a hard time understanding why you need a blog or what to write on one. I can understand both of those well. When I started I was totally confused about who I was writing to – how often I needed to write – the format I needed to write in and are the tricks I needed to know. In a busy world like the internet you want to know how to: Convert Traffic
Convert Traffic to Sales

As a blogger, I realized it would bring converted traffic to my I mean seriously who doesn’t want more traffic to their business
*Raise your hand!*
Your blog itself doesn’t have a lot of pages that get updated weekly (or it shouldn’t) but you have a blog session that you can update daily if you are providing good quality content. Good content is information that people can read and use that provides value for their needs. This means if you solved one of the problems they are likely to come back again to see if you have the answer to another problem they may have.
Traffic Returns
Return Traffic means that you have given something to the reader that made them come back once again seeking you out. The best kind of leads to have are those that are looking for you. Returning traffic leads are the ones that will become more likely to convert into a buyer.
When I began working I was shocked at how many leaders or distributors did not have a blog. They felt that using one was a waste of their time. I have built my business online because I was working a full job and had two boys active in sports. I didn’t have the energy to do the home party invasions. Instead…I blogged. People found my story, they found my business, and connected with me. Those leads became converted traffic in the business that I have today and is still growing. I have people who have followed me for 5 years online before they converted to a team member or customer. A true loyal community.
Traffic Conversion Formula
The secret traffic conversion formula is to get them off of social media and onto your blog. You own your blog and you own the leads that come to your blog, that is your traffic. Social media is a public playground where people go to visit and hang out. They can block your account, they can limit what you see, what you do, and who can find you. Twitter, LinkedIn, and Instagram are the same way.
When I see people spending their time on social media and ignoring the true part of their business it makes me cover my eyes and scream ‘NO!”
Teaching facebook parties, blab sessions, and periscopes are all done for one purpose. To convert traffic from those platforms to your blog and on your email list. The end goal will be to convert to a sale.
Start Your Own Blog
You will not build a connection or many sales on social media without a purpose. Your blog and social media work together to get the attention of the search engines like Google which sends you traffic. The best part is one blog post is ‘out there on the internet forever. When you write your blog post for google in the format it likes, it will come back to your blog over and over and over – bringing customers with it to see your content and convert traffic.
Create a Blog for Free
The best blogs convert traffic by answering the common questions people have. You can blog about the content you teach and it can be used as a resource time and time again for your team – which is a source of traffic. As you are teaching on your blog you are educating your next leader who has been reading your post. They will enter the sales process easier because you have educated them and now they are ready to join you. All because of your blog posts.
How to Start a Blog
Call your domain carrier – where you will get your URL FirstnameLastname.com to ask them to add your WordPress blog to your server. Do not use the free website builders that are out on the web, set this up correctly from the beginning. Let the learning begin.
The blogs you write today will be seen by Google and will be seen years down the road. It is not a one-time activity – it is time well spent to write a teaching post and push the button to publish it. People can read your blog while you are playing with your kids, on vacation with your family, or while you are at the gym. It never sleeps.
70% of your traffic will come from a blog post that was not written that month. Your blog is worth your time. Your new leads have questions and you have the answers.
Give them a call to action so they know what to do next, tell them about your list.

This information brought excitement to me! How often should one blog, once a day or week? Can you pin point how long it took before you actually had enough followers that converted into clients?
