Doomsayers claim the blog is going the way of the horse and cart, VHS, and phone booths.

Anyone even thinking about killing off their blog hasn’t considered:
77% of Internet users continue to regularly read blogs.
84% of companies blog because it’s proven to be more effective than emails, ebooks, and white papers.
Websites that also have a blog are shown to have 434% more indexed pages.
Companies who blog get 97% more links to their websites.
Importantly, according to Evercoach, 81% of U.S. online consumers trust blogs and their authors.

LinkedIn gave me my newsletter button for LinkedIn subscribers and in less than one hour I had over 278 people who had signed up to be notified when I wrote an article (blog post) on LinkedIn.
278 people waved their hands and said tell me when she is blogging!
The more someone knows, likes, and TRUSTS you, the more likely they are to do business with you.
Blogging isn’t dead. It has just changed. Just like everything else on social media does so often.
I have published 809 blog posts. It was actually more but I hid some of them because they were really terrible from the beginning days.
809 are active.

People also told me LinkedIn was a waste of time. It was all spam in their message box and they zero attention from their post.
What they should have said was the things they were posting were shit and they had no clue how to make the wheels on LinkedIn go around.
There are a few simple tips that make everything change.
I jumped on the platform and dug in my heels to figure it out. Then I taught a class on everything I learned.
I talked about writing articles.
I talked about using your blog post.
I talked about the importance of content.
I talked about where and how to get people talking to you on LinkedIn.

The same thing as always. People got on the platform and really worked for a short period of time and then fell off.
I told you two years ago the articles section was a piece of the golden pie on LinkedIn and today. It popped.

278 people jumping on to get a notice when I post an article is more people that open some emails. This happened in less than an hour.
The course is still up.
It is stupid cheap for the detailed hand-holding that you get.
I was made fun of for not making it X2 more.
I simply didn’t want to – That’s my stubborn streak.
I wanted people to SEE what they can do for their business.
