The New Mobile office is the new Corner Office

The average person works 40 hours a week, from the age of 20-65 and gets two weeks of vacation every year. In that time, average Joe will have worked a total of 90,360 hours of his life working for a boss.

Those are hours worked at home, in an office under someone else’s direction. 80% of the people are unhappy in their job. I was one of the 80% for most of my the last 10-15 years in my job because I had a child, a house payment and needed to put food on the table.

The divorce rate is higher with couples who either both or at least one works 10-12 hour days.

Job Security is not promised either is retiring.

40% of my stress headaches were from my job and another 40% was from lack of sleep. Where I would spend less time resting to keep up with my family. In my nursing work field, the largest call in issues was stress related. I personally spent over 2,080 hours a year on the road in all types of weather conditions commuting to and from work.

The stress from the last position at my job I gained 15lbs, daily headaches, shoulder pain, and stomach issues. The days I had off I spent at a baseball field, soccer field and usually in a mentally drained state of mind already dreading Monday.

There are some employees who are flexible now and allow employees to work from home or be on call if not needed at the workplace. This month in the Entrepreneur magazine the hot topic was flex work hours and choosing the type of surrounding that make you the most productive.

Survey says employees will take flexibility over a pay raise. Which has cut down on call-ins from the job, sick time, and employee turnover.

I spend my lunch hours and breaks working in my business to build it to a level of income I could retire as soon as my timetable was reached. My mobile office was the new corner office and it allowed me to build freedom part-time. I had to work less and very focused at the time. However part-time created the ability for me to walk away from a 25 1/2 year job where vacations days were just not enough anymore.

The potential of getting a raise was not there and I had maxed out on any chance of moving any higher than I was. I could have worked another 10 years and nothing would have changed but the time.

It has not been proven that people who stay at a job longer are more productive or happier people. They are normally cranky, moody and watching the clock (somehow I know these facts personally).

Working from home is not for everyone. However, if you think it is for you, part-time is a possibility. No stress of quitting a job before you are ready or have truly replaced the income like I did. I had a number written on my desk that I needed for monthly bills to be in the checkbook each month in order to not change our lifestyle.

Then I had a number that would cover my business expenses each month. From products purchased to tools I used to run my business, The third number was a comfort cushion to put aside for emergencies.

If you are open to working part-time to build the freedom to work from the new mobile office as the new corner office. Watch this video and let’s see if we can work together. This may or may not be for you Here is the Video
