This blog is killing me…. I am gonna work it until I am dead

I had a lady email me and ask how she could get some of my coachings. She said, “I have always thought that blogging was a waste of time but I think I need to learn how after watching you for the last two years. You are killing it.

I responded to her by saying that most people who say blogs are a waste of time are the ones not blogging or never learned how to blog.

My question to her was this “Would you hesitate to cash checks that were in your name laying on your kitchen counter?” She sent back a message ” LOL – are you kidding! No way!”

Blogging is how I got started in my business. My boys were in sports, we were on the road all the time and out of town almost every weekend. I worked a night shift job at a mental hospital, doing home parties was not something I had time for.

So I blogged….

I was not good. I had interesting stories. The kind you can’t makeup and the ones you don’t see just everywhere. I talked about how I used my products during my nursing work shift that helped me and the ones around me.

When I moved into a job upstairs teaching the new nurses who were coming in. I was able to share my products with my students by simply using them on myself. My office always had a diffuser running with a calming oil smell that got people’s attention. I didn’t mention them until they ask me about the diffuser. It was awesome conversations with them leaning in to learn more.

Then I blogged about the stories. Stories are what sold my business, not me. I simply told my story and answered questions as they came in.

Because of  my blog, I signed up over 62 people into my business. I would get a message they would ask “How can I get your oils or how can I join your team.” A few of those people we needed to get on the phone, but most preferred to use the link themselves.

In any business, talking to people is part of what you have to do. Your job is to provide the answer to the problems they already have. Give them the answer to make it better. That is when you share your products if it will be the solution.

The nurses that I talked too were so stressed they needed to vent, come to a quiet area to take a break or inhale some stress away oils. Either way – I was the answer to the problem they had at the time.

Network marketing is not hard. You are serving people. You are helping someone with a problem they are looking for the answer too. Whether it is a product, an opportunity to help with their bank account, change jobs or just feel better with a product.
