You’re a slave to your credit card

Most people get into business to make money – duh – but what they find out is that they need to use a credit card to pay for education classes, business supplies, business trips. I did – the first 4 years I was in business I had a credit card balance and it sucked the life out of me thinking about it.

The worst part would be getting a nice hefty commission check and most of it going to pay bills. We went to talk to a financial advisor and set up a SEP account to pay monthly off the top and then the bills to make sure that we were setting our future up for the days of “real retirement” whatever that means to you. To my husband and I we want to travel and downside the farm and enjoy the income we have worked so hard to make.

In my book the MLM Secrets – I talk about using Taxbot for your bookkeeping and the snowball effects to really set your business up the right way of not owing credit card payments and huge car payments. I will admit, it takes practice to live small and pay things as we go. We as a nation want things NOW and not later.

We went to a Dave Ramsey event back in October 15′ to meet Dave Ramsey (read the article here) and we were pleased to know we were set up to win the game of debt. Today…. we are 60 days away from making the finial payment on debt and begin paying off the mortgage. This time next year  we should be very close to being 100% debt free!

This is what I want my business team to do is set their business up to really see true success not just get a commission check they hand over to someone else every month.
