Social Media teaches you how to read people’s mind.
When you’re logged in to Facebook, navigate to https://www.facebook.com/Your Facebook Page Name/insights
You’ll see a menu with several different options you can click on:
You can use the information in the People tab of your Page Insights to learn more about your audience demographics. Are they male or female, what percentage of your fans are in each age bracket (compared to the percentage of each bracket on Facebook in general), what country they come from, and more.
You can even find out what cities they come from and the language they view Facebook in.
This is incredible information to have about your fans, and it should cause you to ask if you’re reaching the people you think you’re reaching.
Other tabs within your Page Insights give you valuable information about what page your visitors come from before viewing your page on Facebook. You can even set up Domain Insights to find out how people are sharing the content from your website on Facebook.
This is a powerful amount of information about your audience!
For starters – this gives you a huge clue about what kinds of information your audience likes. If you connect this information to what you learned yesterday about the content from your blog, you should have a good idea of the content you should focus on for your website and your Facebook Page.
