Building your business online you should have a wealth of content

Thankfully, if you’ve been building your business online for any length of time, you should have a wealth of content you can use to do just that. Get it set up the first time and it will keep working for you all year long.

Instructions: Set your timer for 15 minutes and focus on this one task. Don’t get side tracked on other things you think you need to do for your website.

If you already have a website, go through your list of posts and find your most helpful content. Focus on posts that answer a specific question in your field. Do you have a post that pulls together a bunch of “Frequently Asked Questions” your prospective clients ask? Look also for posts on your website where you’ve given your audience a valuable “how-to” tip in your field.

Jot down the titles to these posts on the Social Media Relationship Building Planner for Twitter

While you’re at it, glance through each post to make sure the content is evergreen, meaning that it’s content that isn’t outdated. Jot down the date you’ve reviewed each post so you know this step is complete.

Create a short, compelling, 120-character lead for each post. I know Twitter gives you 140 characters, but you want enough space in there for people to be able to retweet your relationship-building content without losing anything.

Remember – in order for this to work to build relationships, this needs to be amazing content that people really find helpful.

This works because it doesn’t feel salesy. It feels natural, welcome, and helpful, and as a result, it’s a great strategy for building long-term relationships between your brand and your customers or prospects.
