What is a Patient

Our Patients are the most important people ever in our care systems, either in person or otherwise.

Our Patients are not only dependent on us, but we are also dependant on them in the mutual exchange
of goal setting to establish the most appropriate treatment program.

Our Patients are not an interruption of our work week; they are the purpose of it. We are not doing them a favor by serving them;
they are allowing us the opportunity to do so.

Our patients are not outsiders to our service; they are the integral part of it that is our very reason for being.

Our patients are not cold statistics – names or numbers on clinical or administrative reports. They are flesh and blood human being with biases, prejudices, feelings, and emotions like our own.

Our Patients are not someone to argue with. Nobody ever really won an argument with anyone else.

Our Patients are people who bring us their wants, their needs, their hurts, their hopes, their dreams.
It is our job to give the best possible accounting to them and to ourselves.
