Secret” Tricks to Monetize Instagram

This week Instagram is rolling out some pretty nice features. If you are not there yet you may not know what a cool platform it is.

They have added several features like snap chat – but better. [I am not a fan of snap chat at all.] It is just not my thing so it is going to the wayside.

I have always loved Instagram and they are making me love them more. You can now swipe left to see someone’s pictures so you don’t have to click one on a profile.

They have added short video features called “My story” which disappears as soon as you turn the video off – so I personally don’t use that feature. I like the short video option that will stay in my feed and let me show you why!

You can now embed your images and videos ON your blog! How cool is that? You are blogging, right? If not… we need to have a conversation.

As you go about your day add one picture to Instagram and share your daily journey and then use it again embedded on your blog. For now, this can only be found when you log into your account from a computer, not your smart phone or iPads. If HTML code freaks you out, calm down, it’s really a copy and paste thing. Use the google monster to learn how.

Hashtags

Don’t forget to research for hashtags to use on your Instagram images.

Hashtags are what connect you to different communities. You can use up to 11 hashtags per image. Instagram is the only platform you can use that many tags. Twitter you can use 2 and at the most 3, facebook 1-2 otherwise it plainly looks weird on your post.

Use tools in your business that are useful so you are not doing multiple efforts but one effort for multiple things. If you are not blogging reach out to me so we can get you started. A blog is your online real estate and now you have your own images you can use on your blog.
