For far more time than I care to admit, I struggled in a series of network marketing companies. (I even tried several affiliate marketing companies.)
I did every thing my upline told me to. I followed the system and tried to duplicate.
I made my list of 100 people. Heck, I’m such an over achiever that my list was over 150 people.
I did home parties. (gross)
I went to weekly team meetings. (boring)
I showed the plan. (insert eye roll here)
I did 3-way calls. (save me from this method)
I spoke to 5, 7, 10 – whatever the magic number of the month was – people a day.
I emailed, texted, you name it. Is spent money I didn’t need to spend on booths
I even tried to sneak around parking lots putting special business cards on windshields! (holy embarrassing)
I faced rejection after rejection. I got frustrated and discouraged. But for some crazy ass reason I didn’t quit.
Sure, I recruited a few people here and there. But they never duplicated. They weren’t willing to do all of the crazy things I was. They fizzled out. (and fast I must add)
