Kentucky – May 2, 2012– From among thousands of contestants, AngelaBrook.com has been ranked 110# in StartupNation.com’s 2012 Leading Moms in Business competition I got an email that said “The winners are in, and you are one of them! You are officially a leading mom in the world of business. KUDOS!!!” I had to read it twice before I realize how large of a contest this was. With over 350,000 contest-wide votes cast, what an incredible achievement!
However, I could not have done it without you. You see less than two years ago I was just working my job wishing I had something else working in my life to get me out of the corporate life and work at home. One of the number one things that has bothered me for over 23 years is asking someone for permission to spend time with my family. Asking for a day off, asking if I can have a holiday off, asking someone else….I took a big leap of faith when I hired a business coach who groomed me and gave me guidance for my business.
I even changed companies right in the middle of building and blog and never lost steam. Actually it propelled me forward. The best part was it was done with such a smooth transaction very few noticed.I have stayed consistent for the last two years, when I was tired, busy and frustrated. I stayed focused most of the time and if I lost it – I would email my coach and she would have me back on track with just a few words of wisdom that at the moment I could not see and needed to hear.
