Seriously, mamas, I get it! I was her not very long ago. My boys wanted to play sports, and I always said yes. Back then, and especially today, it took an extra savings account! Gas to the games, eating out more, traveling to the different parks and game locations, and tournaments. Let’s not forget the cool gear to play the game.
My husband and I both were putting in overtime hours at our job so they could have what they needed, and we could afford to spend the extra on meals, gas, T-shirts, and more.
Both boys had batting coaches, pitching coaches, and strength and technique coaches. They were not cheap, but they were GOOD at their game.
No one wants to work two jobs! As parents, we want to equip our boys with the right tools.
- I started a business online. It is set up for success with tools in place for you to use.
- It costs $35 to get set up. It is cheaper than baseball clients.
- The products are something you already buy and have in your home—no inventory to stack in the closet.
- I show people how to switch what they use – nothing complicated. They already wash their hands and their dishes and wash their clothes. Except you can write them off as a tax deduction as a business.
- No website maintenance.
- No overhead costs. You are getting paid to use the products and tell people what you use.
- There is a community of like-minded, driven mamas like yourself, rooting for each other and sharing what works.
- I like to learn about the people looking at a business BEFORE they start so they don’t start today and quit next month.
Every person you think of as “successful” was eventually unsuccessful.
OR, they started slowly—just like you.
OR, they had to work hard at it—just like you.
Or, they didn’t get ALL THE results at once—just like you.
I share this to remind you that this shit takes time.
The marketing ad and curiosity post on social media promise that you can make $100k in 60 days online as a new business owner, or you can buy this course.
People who call themselves coaches and have nothing to back them up are another crappy marketing strategy I see on social media.
I want to scream. That is an outright LIE! Seriously it pisses me off.
You will have people flooding into your inbox. Looking for the free road to hop on and get rich. Those are the people that waste your time.
It’s possible for some people because they have already built incredible influence over time; they have an email list, a project broadcast list, or funnels working for them.
It’s a MASSIVE disservice to those who are new, struggling, or STUCK.
It fucks with people’s expectations to the point that they either.
A) They hate their businesses OR
B) They quit because they burn out from the emotional rollercoaster; they don’t have a community to ask those simple questions. They are alone, and quitting is easier than keeping going.
I knew what it would look like back when I started if I quit. Every year I hear from people who started their online businesses years ago but who tapped out because they couldn’t manage their expectations, and you know what they say? I wanted that to change.
—> “I wish I just stayed the course because I know I’d be THAT MUCH FURTHER ALONG now.”
During the first couple of years of my entrepreneurial journey, things were rocky and unpredictable, but I never woke up hating my business.
I didn’t have nervous breakdowns every day.
I was grateful for every little tiny thing that did go well!
There was zero desperation.
It took me years to quit my full-time job and do this.
It took me years to do six figures.
It took me years to grow an audience of thousands.
