Master The Art of Social Selling

Master the Art of Social Selling

ARRRRGGggggg people act so weirdly on social media.

I often wonder what would they say to me if they were sitting next to me at the baseball game

or the soccer game …

or the hospital lobby….

Would you say something like this?

“I just honestly like to learn what others do. I’m new to this.\

You seem like you are very talented in this area. I’m not sure if you are interested in adding additional income streams and I’m not sure if what I do would be a fit for you but if you are ever interested in running your volume into our comp plan I would love to introduce you to my CEO.”

and sound normal? (I know who the trainer is that teaches this exact conversation.)

There is magic in conversations –

There is magic in learning what people do

There is magic in asking questions

There is magic in respecting that someone just told you they have been in business for 11 years with their company.

PAUSE…

Take a breath.

A better question would be

“WOW, that is a long time! Sounds like you are committed. How is it going?”

It is not time to pitch someone your deal once you find out they are in a company. This is where you would shift the conversation to just friends to learn more about the person – NOT a Pitch.

Business is not hard.

Build your list.

Build your connections.

Build your influence.

Use Social Media as a connection place, not a pitch marketer.

I promise if you do… it will all come together with the way it should for you.

Connect with people, learn about them and what they have going on. NOT everyone is a good fit. Not everyone is someone you want as a business partner or a customer.

When you have lots of conversations and get to know people. They will connect you to the right people.
