If you follow me on social media especially Facebook and Instagram you saw that I was at the TEAL – Top Earner Academy with Ray Higdon. This post is pulling some of my notes together to share with you thoughts and conversations we had behind closed doors and in the main event.
I was also a speaker on Ray’s “All-Star Panel” alongside Jeff Altgilbers, Angel Fletcher, Karyn Melko-Medeiros and Amy Murphy.
It was a pinch-me moment and I was
When you leave a weekend like TEAL – it takes a few days to get your notes and your head wrapped around all the content that you were exposed too.
Not only did I have TEAL I had a day with TEC Ray’s top earner club where we go behind closed doors for two days and mastermind with some of the top network marketers in our industry and talk strategy.
I like to take bullet notes so that it queue’s my memory from a point I want to tell my business team.
One of the hot topics from the weekend was how so many people in business self sabotage their own business by repeating patterns in their life over and over.
When you begin to recognize the patterns you can correct them as soon as you see them start happening. A lot of business owners want success but when it starts showing up from the work they have put in, the voices in their head start asking “wonder if I am good enough”.
When in truth it is scarier to stay the same than it is to grow out of your comfort zone. You already know what it looks like to stay the same. The unknown is so much more adventurous.
Most people don’t believe they can make 10K a month but they do believe they could possibly make $300-500 a month. The big numbers actually scare people. When you know the behavior of your audience then you can speak to them more specifically.
Your job in network marketing
- Connect with people
- Determine the need
- Expose your products
- Share the business
Those 4 skills can change your business and your life. It will not happen with the first few people you talk too. It is a numbers game, you will have to talk to a lot of people. That is just reality.
Uber says it has 2 million drivers globally and 750,000 in the United States.
According to Uber, drivers netted an average of $25.00 an hour with an average of 1.3 rides per hour if they are working full shifts. These net wages, however, don’t take into account bridge tolls, car insurance, or other costs of being a driver.
As awesome as uber is and how handy to be able to click a button on
When their wheels aren’t turning the money is not rolling into their bank account. Uber drivers are clearly seeking to make more money. They are business minded because they are using their car to bring in extra income.
Most drivers have other jobs and do uber driving part-time.
Which is perfect because network marketing can also be done part-time like I did when I got started.
Lead with your products like the girl scouts do with their cookies
If you have ever bought a box of cookies from a girl scout she has one simple question to ask you when you walk by. “Would you like to buy some cookies?”
They don’t get upset when people smile and keep walking they ask the same question to the very next person. When someone stops the next question is “How many boxes of cookies would you like to buy?”
When you talk to a girl scout you know she is going to ask you to buy something. It will end in a sales transaction. She may suggest flavors of cookies and have small talk about what is her
Ask the question
If you are afraid to ask for the sale you will struggle in network marketing. You are not only sharing and teaching you are looking for sales. Be open with yourself enough to know that you are not a information billboard you are looking for customers and business builders.
Rules of Duplication
Once people make the purchase to join you in your business. All of a sudden they think they have to become the most knowledged person on earth to tell you all the ingredients, how the products are made, what each and every bottle can and will do for you.
Instead, make it simple…”I don’t know about all that … all I know is…”
Tell Stories
That is the best line you could ever use. People only want to know what it will do for them. If I used a product for a headache and someone asks me what else it would do. I simply tell a story.
“All I know is that when I had a migraine headache that was starting at the base of my skull and moving around the top of my head I put one drop of this oil on my thumb and pushed it to the roof of my mouth, and a drop on the back of my neck and in a few minutes my headache was gone.”
People want to know results, and how they can get them. If you are teaching people from the plant to the bottle it is sold in they are overwhelmed with information and most of the time do nothing.
The next thought they have when you give a big fancy presentation “I can’t do what she just did.” So they count themselves out of the possibility of having a business because you made it look so hard. Make it simple.
Teach people one message
Talk to lots of people (even uber drivers)
Stay
Don’t quit.
How to Guarantee failure
People who start, then freak out and quit are 100% guaranteed to fail. The people who go all in no matter how bad the results are and stays in will see progress. They are the ones who will build a business.
Ray Higdon said: “The size of your business is dictated by the size of your commitment.” When you decide to be uncomfortable until you learn how to find your own business flow, will find success.
Rock bottom became my solid foundation on which I built my business.
My very first network marketing company I was in for over two years and only signed up 2 people. My first and only check was $17.50. I stayed committed to the process until I believed in myself enough that results started coming my way once I moved to a new company.
If you are looking for a business may be what I have could be for you. I can show you my systems, products and training but you have to make a decision. Are you all in? or does it just sound good?
