How often do you tell yourself “Good Job?”. How often do you celebrate the small wins you have in your daily life, not just your business? I think that we set our expectations a little to high for the work you are actually doing in your business.
I talk to people weekly who have full-time jobs, kids, activities to attend and very little time left over to work in a business more than part-time. That is completely understandable. That was me. I was running on fumes most of the time, exhausted from working the night shift and plugging along in my business with an hour or two at a time each day.
I did what I could do and I made sure it was focused to get results.
I didn’t celebrate enough as I was building my empire. I kept looking at the end goal I wanted to reach and not at the progress I was making. I reached the top 3% of my network marketing company in 3 years and 10 months.
Was there a higher level to reach? Yes. But to be in the top 3% of the company without doing the home party presentations was pretty amazing.
I didn’t celebrate more than a day or two and I was off and running to the next level. Which took me another two years to reach.
Full-Time to Part-Time at Home
I was on the road with my boys who were big into sports. I would leave my job and go to a soccer or baseball field to support them. I missed a few games as possible and the ones I did miss because I had to work my day job was my motivation to change my income options.
I never thought about quitting because I knew what my job and my schedule looked like. My option was to keep moving forward one tiny step at a time.

Celebrate the small rewards
I have a journal that I keep beside me and my laptop where ever I go. I write down each and every person I speak too business related and if I need to follow up and the date.
I write down small goals that I want to get done each day so I can see it in front of me that it was accomplished. Writing it on paper is my way of celebrating and giving credit for the work I do.
The 2 biggest reasons why 90% of business fail within their first year: the business has run out of leads… money… or both. They get frustrated because they are not seeing the results of the work they are not doing (read that again slowly).
If you are not using a system, a CRM, and building a list you are really floating on the skin of your teeth as they say. It is like your journal where it is keeping track of your appointments, emails sent out, leads coming in and progress you have made to be able to celebrate your success.

Ask yourself this question whatever level you are in your business.
“What if I lost everything and had to start over in my business? What would I do?”
What I mean by everything is that most people depend on Facebook as the only place they talk to people and they never move them over to their list, to a CRM leaving their whole business at the mercy of a platform you don’t own. You don’t even rent the space.

I had a scare in my business that woke me up three days before I was to retire that shifted how I ran my business and where I kept my business leads and clients. I made sure my Aweber list was up to date, I shifted to a CRM to hold my leads and client notes in for safekeeping and a place for me to grow and not depend on one platform.
Your job is to create consistent daily content for your audience that addresses their top challenges, problems, pains, dreams, desires, and questions. If you are not creating your platform you could wake up one day and have to start all over again.
