Three skills you need as a online marketer

You have heard the magic numbers. You need skills to see results in a business. That is a no-brainer. However, there will be days… and sometimes more than one that you will find yourself frustrated to the point you want to quit. The sad fact is many people do when it gets hard.

Most people don’t want to admit they are excellent customers but not so good at being a business builder. When people ask me if it is hard to get started in business the answer is no.

It is easy to get a starter pack and get started. The hard part is the staying power it takes to get over the uncomfortable learning mountains. Notice I didn’t say curves or hills. The things that make money are the places you are not comfortable and you need to learn how to process that skill.

For me… I am a blogger.

Blogging is not for everyone but business leads are. If you don’t like to write then become a podcaster and teach what you learn. If you don’t like to talk then write, or if you like being on camera making a video. You have so many options to use whatever you enjoy using the most. You can even test them all and see what gives you the best results with your audience.

Find what you enjoy doing and stay with that one thing until you are a master. If it is blogging… blog
If it is Facebook… use Facebook
If it is home meetings… fill your calendar every single week with appointments or zoom calls.

One skill you need to be is your best you

There is no real magic to business other than staying focused on where you want to go and walk in that direction.
The distractions are what keep you from going forward.
Put yourself around the people who are doing what it is you want to do. Follow them, study them, use the tools and skills they are using. The action is your power words. You must learn and implement in order to see results. As Ray Higdon calls it LIT = Learn, Implement, Teach

Talking to people is a skill you must learn

To be in business you must talk to people. You can’t generate business by not having business conversations. My goal every single day to is to talk to 15 new people. Follow up with 5 and listening to my marketplace for problems they are having that my products or service can help.

What about the hard days in business

Let me be honest with you. You will have bad days. There will be days you will wonder what the hell were you thinking when you decided to join a business journey. The fact is the ones who stay in the hard times smile bigger walking across the stage to get the rewards.
