I just returned from a powerful event in Florida with Ray Higdon’s Top Earner Academy Live #TEAL2018. I had the opportunity to meet and shake hands with the amazing speakers. [You can see pictures here] Each speaker gave their spin on how to create ultimate freedom with your business and the systems and tools they used. The common thread with each speaker was using tools and systems in their business.
I took 16 pages and notes and I am not sure how many screenshots of slides they used in their presentation I took but it was close to 100 images. I will be writing more than one blog post to cover all the content I was exposed to this weekend. I learned so many people in business underestimate the power of going to events and what it does for your own mindset being in the room.
The conversations you have with people around you and the people you get to meet is the best part of attending. I have talked to Lisa Grossman on the phone, on Facebook and finally got to take a picture with her in person plus have a real conversation.
Ray Higdon started the event off with a bang that shook a lot of people. He asks all of us to get out our phone and turn the camera on facing us like we were about to snap a picture. Look yourself in the eyes and say “I forgive you”.
WOW!!
Have you ever done that?
Grab your phone and tell yourself “I forgive you” It will move something inside you. People were brought to tears, people laughed and people sat quietly. How often do we forgive others but not yourself and carry all that baggage around trying to live a different life?
Just imagine what the next 12 months can look like in your business if you turn loose of the past and really move forward.
Johnnie Green
Johnnie spoke about the 4 P’s. Persistence, Positivity, Perseverance, Patience. I enjoy listening to people who have made it to the stage talk about what it took to get them there and the mistakes they made along the way. Rarely does anyone go straight to the top without doing the work to make it happen. It’s not how you start but how you finish your business. Don’t be afraid to fail or look stupid, overcome the obstacles that it takes to get the results you are looking for.
Johnnie says “Patience requires vision to watch your team grow. Some teams will grow fast and some will grow slow. It depends on their personal growth and how much they put into themselves to learn to do more and be their best selves.
Johnnie said something that really shook the room and that was to lift the overlooked. You will have people on your team that is working behind the scenes that you don’t see working until all of a sudden results start coming in. Take the time to look in your company back office to see where your results are coming from and let them know someone does see them. It means so much to someone to just say hello – good job – I see you.
You will have “walkers” in your business that will walk away from it before they have time to season and build a business. You will have stalkers who talk to 2-3 people for months and months and don’t reach out to new people and wonder why the business is not growing. If you want to see different results you have to do something different.
Garrett McGrath
Garrett was hilarious, entertaining and right on point with his speaking. Garrett has built organizations in excess of 100,000+ distributors in 21 countries worldwide, together with his wife and business partner, Sylvia, and has served as Master Distributor for four network marketing companies over the past 20+ years.
Garrett was elected President of the Association of Network Marketing Professionals (ANMP) in 2012 and is a highly sought-after keynote speaker, leadership trainer, and team-builder.
He had so many good points in his presentation and he said “awareness without action creates nothing” and in 1-2 years with action steps in place, you can be financially free with your business.
You have to be willing to push and fight through the hard stuff to get to the good stuff. Meaning don’t let the things that limit you right now hold you back.
- Use the tools and not your talent
- Don’t hide behind your efforts let people know what you are doing
- This was a big one: If you forget where you came from you are on your way back.
- Stop looking for a place to attach your umbilical cord and apply what you learn no matter how simple it seems to be-be consistent.
He is such an amazing presenter. I love his humor and his history of personal life challenges are pretty stinking amazing.

This lady Nicola… oh wow… she is a powerhouse. She has that warm and fuzzy energy that you just love being in her space. She pulls back the curtain to show how real people create financial wealth and personal success in their lives.

Most people in Network Marketing think they should be adding and replacing new clients and customers all the time when in fact they should be reaching down into the organization and working with who is already there.
Three things you must do in network marketing
- You can’t be #1 in the company or even #2 if you aren’t talking to people
- What you say to yourself comes across to other people. Be careful with your own self-talk even in private your energy shows what you feel.
- Tapping down into your organization finds the leaders who are willing to work without begging them to do the job.
In other words, stop acting like a renter in your business and become the CEO. Your network marketing company is not your business, your TEAM is your business. Assume responsibility and create the environment for others to grow. For example, a Facebook group, adding them to a team leader facebook group that you support, zoom calls.

In this business, all we have to do is impact a few who go out and impact many. You don’t have to do it all yourself. The connections will happen on their own as we build and grow yourself.
