I know you have thought about it, and I know you have wanted to show those people who told you that you’d never make it in whatever you were working on.
After I had to retake a test before I could finish nursing school. [I studied like a mad person and aced the test]. My nursing instructor said to me, as she handed my test scores back – she smiled – and said “You will never pass board.” I smiled back. “Watch me!” She was wrong – I have been a nurse for 30 years.
My home economics teacher in high school told me in front of the whole class, when she saw my engagement picture in the paper, “You want last 6 months being married.” She was wrong, it lasted almost 7 years.
An acquaintance (not a friend) told me when I first entered network marketing that my little car trunk business was a joke, you will never make any money selling those bottles of pills (the company I was in at the time). That company closed and I moved on to another one – and now I am a 6-figure earner making more in the first 6 days of the month than she does all month long at her day job working 40 hours a week – on their vacation schedule – and their time chain.
No matter what you do someone will be waiting to tell you that it will never work.
They will point and laugh…. as they do nothing to better their life.
They will heckle.
Do it anyway.
I used to tell my girlfriend back in the late 90’s – “I want to have a business – I want to work on the internet from home.” I had no idea how to get started or if it was possible – but it was something I said to people for years before I actually make it happen.
