Tell me your story

Kentucky Snow

It’s snowing in Kentucky and I am bouncing from one task to the other without getting one whole task done at once. I folded clothes and then found myself standing on the back deck taking snow pictures. When I came in I grabbed some of the clothes to put away and then found myself fixing a bowl of soup. Then I remembered I was folding clothes but before I was able to put those away I got a ding on my phone. I stopped to read the message still holding the clothes and noticed my soup was getting cold.

Working from home takes focus and on days where things are a little out of character – like 9 inches of snow and still falling – I get side tracked.

I compromised with myself – I ate the soup, made a cup of coffee and turned the heat up in the sun room so I could watch it snow while sipping coffee and writing. It is a win win – right?

I posted on my facebook page about writing your story – If you are not on my facebook page go like it now by clicking this link.

By following me you know I am in business and have worked as a nurse in mental health – you also know I retired from nursing and pray I never have to use the license again (I am serious). All of the things I have done as a nurse – as a mom – as a wife – as a person is my story.

No matter what it sounds like it is your story and how you got to the point that you’re reading this blog post today. What is it your looking for – what are you seeking?

I am not here to sell you oils – I am here to tell you how they have impacted my life, how my finances have changed, how I am typing this during the day while most people are at their jobs watching it snow, Oh and I’m not stressed today because I don’t have to drive in the snow. It used to be 35 miles one way.

  1. Hi Angela, Yes, this is what I do at home also. Going from one task to the next, and on to the next. It never ends. Tasks must get done otherwise it piles up, and when it piles up it never gets done. šŸ™‚ That’s how life is. Washing dishes for example, since we eat every day, there are dirty dishes every single day. Someone’s got to wash them, right? Otherwise, it piles up in the sink, and then after a while, it start to stink. Yet, even when we think it’s done, it’s not done. What!, I thought I washed everything in the sink, so why do I see this dirty dishes in the sink again? So, it goes, we tackled tasks daily, chomping away at the tasks till the end of time. …

  2. Angela, I too am in health care, the difference is I am still in the thick of it. I dream of the day I walk successfully out the revolving door of our facility for the last time.

I am a physician assistant in internal medicine for Uncle Sam. I love the patients I serve but the 36 mile commute each way that takes an hour is WAY overrated these days.

I was drawn to Young LIving initially looking for an alternative for my horse’s mood issues. I had no intention of using the oils myself, after all it goes against my medical school training, But I also knew that only YL would be worth trying and good enough. Gold standard or nothing, after all I had sustained a skin burn from another company’s oils.

After having the oils a while and using them on my horse, I attended a class at my upline’s home. It was there I heard another person’s success treating her back pain with YL. I gambled knowing the oils would not hurt me; but, I knew that I knew that I knew, the oils would not help. Imagine my surprise when I foudn three months later I was not usin any pain pills!!! (did I mention I had broken my back in three places training a horse?).

My passion is to share alernatives. Safe health promoting alternatives. I look forward to the day the we are treating patients in main stream clinics with WHOLE medicine, not Eastern, not Western but WHOLE medicine. Treating patients with what is best and what they prefer first.
