Using social media to build your relationships online doesn’t take more time. It takes more planning and more boundaries.

Planning – This is critical. You need to approach social media relationship building by first being clear about the value you bring to your ideal customer. Then use social media to deliver that value with a strategy that leaves your customers wanting more.
Boundaries – This flows from planning. Once you’ve planned, you need to figure out how much time you’ll spend and when you’ll spend that time. Whether by using a timer or an app, you need to know when you’ll walk away from social media and either go live life or go do other income generating activities. Your social media plan must include when you’ll put it into place and when you’ll walk away and do the other things that build your brand and your income.
