Take Steps. Reach Milestones. Achieve Your Dreams.
I sat on the front porch sipping a cup of hot Hawaiian coffee, it wasn’t luke warm…it was hot. The humming birds whizzed around my head playing around the feeders and the thunder rumbled in the background saying a much needed rain was on the way.

I stared out across the hay field that was dancing in the breeze waiting to sip the warm summer rain. If I had to guess the blades of clover were like kids on a play ground excited to get a drink of fresh water.

I sat rocking and sipping my coffee with nothing on my mind enjoying the perfect weather for rocking.

Then I realized I had no laundry to wash.
No dirty dishes in the sink
My oldest sons room was clean, even his sheets, and I could walk in his room
(if you have kids you know what this means)
There was no flashing TV light coming down the stairs where it had been left on all night.
The house was quiet as my husband and my youngest son, as he says now an only child, still slept.

I smiled to myself, so this is what success feels like for me right now.

All the baseball practice, hours of traveling to baseball fields even GPS struggled to find, the thousands of dollars spend on ball park food, equipment and bling for the sport of baseball.

Today I am just a mom.

A proud mom.

We moved my son into college and unlike his first day of kindergarten, which seems like last week, he was nervous with excitement. He had a full scholarship to pitch on a college baseball team.

I am guilty of getting caught up in the daily living of work, house chores, getting things done the boys needed, and mindless efforts of running a business at night.

The things I used to rush and wish it would hurry and be over don’t seem to bother me the same and I try to absorb the moment.

Just like the fresh rain, it will fall, thunder will roar and then the sun comes out and dries up the drops to hide the rain like it never happened.

On the drive home from the first day of moving my son into college. I needed something to focus my mind on.

I downloaded the book “Oola Find Balance in an Unbalanced World”

This book is not your normal self-help book and it is a good read. Dave Braun (Author) (The OolaSeeker) and Troy Amdahl (The OolaGuru) have been there and done that.

I could relate to so many of the childhood memories that brought him to today. We are all looking for the Oola life.

This book made me realize in between baseball practice, travel weekends, and working as a nurse on the night shift.
I lost what I love to do along the way. Building a life along with a family ranked in my focused efforts

With a son in college and a son in elementary school – this book shook me and made me stop thinking. I have a new goal in mind for me.

It is still Oola Family Focused.
It is still Oola Business Focused

Today I am just a mom…. a proud mom of a son who has moved into his first journey on his own.

It is taking a lot of deep breaths – blinking a few times to clear my eyes but the life I am chasing is the Oola Life.

You have a God-given purpose and/or talent. If you don’t know your purpose, it only means you haven’t discovered it yet. Go find it. If you know your gift, be a Guru. Share your gift with others. Giving and sharing are very Oola. Don’t just seek a Guru, be a Guru

I am honored to be on this journey with you building an Oola life for yourself as well. It is a journey to not go alone everyone needs a Guru, let’s be one for each other.
