After a wonderful weekend with my husband I sat down at my outside deck table and found myself wandering off into the beautiful view sipping on coffee and petting the dog. The page in front of me was blank and nothing was coming to mind that I really needed to say or wanted to write.
Have you ever had that happen to you? Blank Brain.
People have always glorified working from home as the ultimate work environment and trust me it is pretty sweet. However, on days you just don’t feel inspired it is up to you to find the push to work and not close the laptop and go take a nap.
Where do you find your content?
What do you write about?
What is your go to content when you have brain fog or blank brain?
My first go to place is facebook to see what people are saying to me or what they are asking.
The questions I get ask the most are how do you use social media to run your business?
Where do you find your clients and customers?
I wish I could do what you’re doing from home.
All the questions are pretty much around the same topic.
Am I good enough?
Am I smart enough?
Can I learn how to run a business?
I don’t want to be a salesperson.
and the answer is yes – if you have a why that is big enough to keep you moving forward you can do this business.
Your “WHY” is what links you to becoming focused on your goals.
My why was so hard focused to retire at 25 years I could hardly see past that goal. My son was going off to college and I didn’t want to miss one game that he stood on the mound to pitch. Distance was not a factor – I wanted to be standing behind the fence praying and snapping pictures.
My youngest son was about to be in the 5th grade and I was missing the school parties, trips, pizza and all his award presentations. I wanted to be his mom. I wanted to be in the crowd when he looked up and smiled with his awards.
People tell you to dream about your perfect life. In my mind dreams are not actions. Actions is what makes your why come to life.
Imagine if you were able to pay for a car in cash like we did when my sons car had to be replaced.
Imagine if: you could be that stay at home mom or dad or nana
Imagine if: you had money left over after all the bills were paid to enough weekend trips
Imagine if: you could pay cash for your child’s college like we are doing for our sons.
Imagine if: you owed no one and lived debt free, like we are now doing.
Your why has to be strong – you have to want it more than a passing thought and then be willing to start building your business and stay with it until it pays you back. I can’t give you a guarantee on how soon it will pay you because I don’t know how hard you are willing to work.
Can it be done….. YES!
