Nursing Blueprint of How to get out of the Box

by Angela Brooks

This past weekend as nurse and social media marketer I shared how I was preparing for the next 20 years. Saturday the 27th of August – I held my very first Tele-Class "Social Media Bandwagon" with an amazing group of people. After 60 minutes of a very detailed call how I use social media to work my Young Living Essential Oils business and as a nurse how I share the information on social sites to provide information that drives traffic to my blog angelabrook.com.

In the beginning of the call I was nervous – and did not mind sharing that information as well. After   sharing that, the nerves quickly went away. I laid out what I do on a daily base – and the top secrets, bookmarking pages that helps publish my post.

My whole world changed in November 2010 – I hired a business coach to teach me what she was doing online. My funds were limited on what I could spend and I had to use everything I could that was low cost to free until I could earn enough to continue. I coached with her every week – and I applied every detail she gave me.

There were times after we had a coaching call I had pages of notes that I did not really understand how to put the information in place. I left them laying on my desk and one my one put them in place. As I did – I could see how they pulled together and worked. In 7 months I added 82 new business consultants to my business, without using the phone. I had to use my time wisely, and talking on the phone was not in my time management calendar. I still had two boys to take care who whom are very busy with sports. One is on a travel baseball team, I worked three days a week at 13 hour night shift – so the things I did had to be focused – and drive traffic. I was tired a lot and could have thought of plenty of excuses to not get the work done.

When I was younger finding someone who provided the support you need to believe in your talents is rare. I found that your mindset in life as well as in business has to be focused. You would think as a nurse for 25 years that I would know that from taking care of my patients. However – most people suffer from the same lack of self belief. Social Media is something you can do, if you're willing to put in the time to learn and apply what you learn. I did not understand it all either, it was a learning curve that I wanted to know more about. I was able to find the right person to coach with, and you need to do the same things.  Go read my resource page – I share the things that I use and people that have made a difference in my life.

I would love to be your mentor and share the things that my mentor has taught me – Drop down to the comment box and leave your comment.
