Have you ever had something cause you to an have "Ah-Ha" moment? Traveling to Chicago this weekend brought several of those moments to many people that sat in the room of the
"Read your mind book tour" with Sandi Krakowski
On Friday when I set out to leave for Chicago my day started with a phone call that canceled my flight due to bad weather in that area. The 2nd flight was canceled after sitting in the airport for several hours waiting which ended up taking 12 hours to make a hour and a half trip. When I walked into my room at 12 midnight – I already knew the weekend had great things waiting to happen….and it did.
Over the course of a year I have watched my business coach step out of her own comfort zone with live events, then a yearlong coaching program – then standing and singing on stage after many years of being silent. She was a stay at home mom who worked in the silence of her own office. What did her mildstones have to do with me? Encouraged me to step out of my comfort zone into the unknown giving myself permission to open up new doors toward dreams that I never thought could ever come true. Dreams do happen once you give them permission and put into action what it takes to set them free.
Through the internet I have met some of the best people in business – and with facebook have become great friends with many of them. Communicating through social media getting to know each other was fun – but when we stepped inside the business training event, there were no strangers to be found. Smiles, laughter, picture taking and lots of room chatter.
I had the privilege to meet new young living consultants that are new in the business and spent time with them to get questions answered; plus came in contact with several new "oilers" coming on board. I want to pass on to them the same that was passed to me. How to change their life with a healthier option of using oils without hotel meetings, chasing people down in Wal-Mart, and spending tons of hours on the phone prospecting. Who has the time and who wants to do that anymore? The only thing that should be slick and oily is the essential oils they are using – not their business. The real moment for me was sitting in front of Rose Mis lap top and staring at the screen as my book is coming alive half way edited and almost ready for print! How did a mental health nurse from Kentucky become and author of a new upcoming best seller? I had one person believe in me and speak into my life that it could be done and should be. As I stared at that book – reading the words that I wrote the tears welded up in my eyes seeing a dream unfolding. What a blessing. I thought I was just a nurse who worked 13 hour night shift for 21.5 years just doing what nurses do – work. Get the updates on the new best seller that will be coming out soon filling out this form.
As my coach Sandi said "The cool thing about God is…. He has known us where we were, where we are, but here's the radical stuff, HE KNOWS us in our future. It's our job to partner with Him & get there. HINT- His dreams for you are way bigger than you could ever imagine!"
When I jumped on the shuttle bus headed to the airport on the way back home. My heart was pulling to stay among my internet friends. They are all so full of stories, wisdom, and adventure and on the same journey path that I am on. I sat in that seat with this silly smile on my face thinking about all the things that happened over the last 48 hours. My webpage went down and my web guy Patrick was ready and on top of problem. Within two hours he had it back up and running. Patrick Whitson, thank you for being the best out there! Kim Garst who has been my awesome web designer for the banners came through right before I went out on the road headed to the event so that new banner got to meet all the new people this weekend. She is also the designer the cover of the book. I was stuck in the airport for over 12 hours with two flight delays. The end results – I met fun new people along the way from the airport to the hotel. The shuttle bus drivers, baggage carriers, doormen, room service, housekeepers, front desk service, meal servers, they all had a purpose in making my trip safe and grand. I loved telling them "Thank you for helping me I appreciate what you do" the smile was priceless.
As you can see – just mentioning a few names. There is no way to grow in this world alone. You have great people to add to your life and they help you move forward. The Sandi's, Kim's, Patrick's, and Rose's they are helping me one step at a time. Thank – you ladies and gents.
