Nurse Angela Brooks Educator & Social Media
My name is Angela Brooks…I am a mental health nurse educator who has worked in a state funded mental hospital for the last 22 years. I am a mom of two busy boys who are very active in sports and travel baseball and I am married to an amazing man. I am a social media junky that runs my business from my smart phone. I was a burnt out nurse who wanted out of nursing but instead learned how transition from nursing with business and social media.
What you will learn from me is how I began the transition and how I can help you do the same thing. I still loved working with people but I needed a change.
I stood on the back deck early one Saturday morning as my husband and two sons were loading into the car going to a baseball tournament that I would miss. It was my weekend to work. As a nurse I have worked more weekend and holidays than I have gotten to enjoy.
It was that day – that became a defining moment for me. As I drove to work down the same road I had driven for 21 years. I became angry, and frustrated that I was missing his events because I still had to work to provide for the family. My two boys were growing up fast and I was missing it working 13 hours at night – 3 days a week.
I began looking for a business coach that could help me take my business to a level that would give me the schedule that I wanted. I worked with her for a little over a year learning everything she would teach me about online marketing, Newsletters, email, social media. In 7 months I had added 92 people to my business and now began training them to do the same thing.
What they get from me is a short cut. I took the long road and now I am sharing all I have learned with them. I also was offered a job change – I moved from the night shift after 21 years to teaching the new nurses that are hired to work at the facility. The hours are better, I am more rested, and I am not suffering from feeling burnt out.
I am a former burnt out nurse who loves helping people. If you are a burnt out nurse -*you know if you are no one has to tell you* – I can show you how I have transitioned from nursing, working part time at home without giving up your full time job.
What I would like for you to do is fill out the contact form below with your name, email and cell phone for a text message if you would like. Let's show nurses how to help people the way we did when we first graduated. Remember that feeling?
I am waiting for you on the inside.
** Please note: I am not here to CURE, DIAGNOSE, Treat or suggest replacements for what a doctor prescribes
I am sharing my nursing adventures with you.
