If you want to learn about how to create a mass movement read “The Underground Playbook”. Russell Brunson is a drawing pictures kind of guy who has drawn out his funnels for his business. You can do this even if you don’t have a blog – Yes you heard me say that. Weird I know but funnels ae pretty amazing.
I am not saying give up your blog but you sure don’t have to build one of those if you had the funnels system that Russell is teaching.
In his book on page 114, he talked about “The Epiphany Bridge” He talks about how to listen to others people stories and how to share your story with the backstory, the wall you hit in growing your story and the epiphany that took you to an opportunity.
He has 8 questions he talks about and of course, goes into to details when you get your own book
- The Backstory: What is your story that gives you a vested interest in your journey?
- Your Desires: What is it you want to accomplish? ex: What is the internal and external struggle you are dealing with.
- The Wall: What was the wall or problem you hit within your current opportunity that started you on this journey.
- The Epiphany: What were the epiphany that you experienced and the new opportunity you discovered?
- The Plan: What was the plan you created to achieve your desire?
- The Conflict: What conflicts did you experience along the way.
- The Achievement: What was your end result?
- The Transformation: What was the transformation you discovered?
Most people never share their own story. They want to talk about the company and their products but not who they are and why they are even connected to a company or a product.
I started in network marketing when I was a single mom and had a 1-year-old. I needed extra cash to do the fun stuff in life other than pay bills. That was 21 years ago and I had no idea that selling products out of the trunk of my car was network marketing. No one every told me that. I just knew if I sold 300-500 bottles of products that I could have the extra cash I needed.
Share your Story
Fast forward to 2010 I built an ugly pink website and started building a list by telling my stories as a nurse who had worked in mental health for many years. I shared stories that intrigued people but I am sure they didn’t believe me because of how far out they sounded. However, what I shared in “The Nurses Voice” are things I experienced.
Sharing your story is sometimes hard. If you are willing to get vulnerable and share your struggles people will be able to hear and form an instant connection with you. If you keep talking to people and asking questions you drill down until you will find the true person, the real struggles that is holding them back or pushing them to succeed.
You may have heard about Sarah Harnisch. She is on my business team who wrote her book “The Game Plan” She is a mother of 6, married to her husband John who was flat against the wall broke. Living in less than a 1000 sq ft home with her family and not always having food to eat or even knew where it was coming from. She came out of the corner fighting like the tiger she is and told her story. Her book sold over 1/2 million copies in 90 days.
When you share your story people can relate to you and they connect at a level deeper than your products or your company name. Those are just items you use in your business. Your story is what shows people they can do what you have done because they can now connect with you.
You will never go to an event, listen to a podcast, read a book, listen to the news without hearing a story.
Why are you not sharing yours?
Russell Brunson has gone into great detail in his book the Expert Secrets: The Underground Playbook for Creating a Mass Movement of People Who Will Pay for Your Advice.” There is no way I can say it better than he can. I got my free book and you can get yours too by paying the shipping. No tricks. Pay the shipping and get this book. Turn to page 114 and learn to tell your story.
