I just returned from Chicago from a business mastermind for my business with a group of 22 amazing people. My business coach Sandi Krakowski who teaches at a level very few can even speak. Everyone in the room had all connect daily on facebook and twitter so it was like meeting friends we already knew.
As I walked into the room, you could feel the energy from the people that was there. The mood was set and the attitude was noticed very quickly. We have to make a decision to be like the people around us or to be differant. Many people struggle being differant simply because it is not the cool thing to do.
After spending time with business minds who were there this weekend. It gives you a new look at how it makes you feel to be who you are and not fall into the trap of those around you. Standing out just means that you are being who you were designed to be – God gave you a stamp on your forehead with the instructions built into your design when you were born. Your job is to find out how to make it come to life.
Time to Flex your Brain Muscle
Have you ever had someone believe in you so much that you just knew you could not fail? I am telling you, the friends I have made in business has given me the most amazing fuel for a new look at life, at nursing, at my young living business. Total strangers from all over the USA and Australia, and Canada came together because of facebook and one heck of a business trainer with pink hair and tattoos named Sandi. We all gathered for a mastermind training from 8am – until 5 pm. Intense! The room was spinning with energy, each person in the room supported and shared ideas for someone else business.
I was in the "hot seat" where I was sat in front of the room in front of those 22 amazing people and Sandi went through my business for 30 minutes. Designing and mapping out the next step that is going to take this whole last year to the next level of OH MY goodness.
As she mapped out on a huge post-it note what I was doing now – and my question was "what is my next step". She drew out on paper how all that I do in marketing was the next step and the book that I have been writing is now ready for the editor – whom was sitting right beside me in that room. I have been writing about my life as a nurse for the last 6 months but never thought it was ready – and it is.
You can get the details and updates about it with this link:
As a nurse I have always enjoyed helping people and seeing the results of them getting better. However, I always felt like there was something in nursing I was missing. As a mental health nurse I do not get to see the good results outside the hospital and I really wanted to do more. I began listening to nurses who were miserable, over worked, under paid, stressed out with job duties bosses who showed no mercy, patient loads that required more than they could do alone. As I listened to them – they too were getting burned out but deep inside them they loved nursing as a career but not the toxic headaches that come with it. As a nurse and all the talk about the national health care I began thinking how people so often operate in 'defense' mode – meaning they only fix things when a problem arises. We learned a long time ago being proactive is the best route to preventative health care.
